Located off the northwest corner of the Panay Island, the small island Boracay won the best island in the world award in 2012 and since then the popularity of this island grows exponentially. We were lured by its great white beaches and spent three nights on the island.
This Tuesday we came back from New York, the Number One travel destination in the world. I liked the city a lot and was impressed by the scale and size a lot. This city has so much to offer in all aspects of life (if you have enough money, of course)… Right, there is a but. Some people would definitely throw the stones at me… but I didn’t like New York as much as it was expected from me. Continue reading
Probably, Romania is one of few countries where any weather is reasonable and has its advantages. Take the rain and fog and imagine how authentic the Transylvanian castles will look like in this ambience close to that you depict after watching all those Dracula movies… Take the snowfall and envision the cozy small Brasov all covered in white… The weather when the sun is shining does not need a separate presentation.
We had only nine full days for our Philippine trip but we managed to visit three big cities: Manila, Cebu and Angeles (which does not really count as we were there only late at night) and enjoyed two islands: Boracay and Palawan. We had a surf-camp in the north of Spain, a wedding of good friends in southern Spain and mission to explore the best club of the world on an island. Nevertheless, here are some tips for you if you find yourself in Bilbao/ San Vicente de la Barquera/ Altea/ on Ibiza about what to see, to do and to eat in those places.
Another place is checked off from my endless travel bucket list: Tegernsee in Bavaria. The surroundings of this lake, Bavarian Alps and the Tirol, are a very famous hiking destination in general. But after I have seen this view of Tegernsee (better quality here: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/5/55/Tegernsee_vom_Wallberg_14.jpeg), I got an idee fixe to see it exactly form the same point:
Have you ever considered Bratislava as an attractive weekend destination? If not, you absolutely have to. In this post I will explain you why.
The power of words and thoughts is often underestimated. One week before, when we were in Colmar, I recklessly compared Colmar to Venice thus provoking a small discussion with a couple of friends if Venice better indeed and when is the best time to go there.
